Toms Brook native. Entered the US Army, Infantry on June 1 1917. Trained at Roanoke Virginia and Anniston Alabama.

Deployed to France on June 15 1918. Involved in the Meuse Argonne battle. Awarded the Victory Medal.

Discharged from Camp Lee on February 6, 1919. Postwar occupation, farmer.
