Margaret was born to Mark Welsh Magruder and Lilia Myrtle Riddleberger. She grew up in Woodstock where her father was an agent in the Fire Insurance business. The 1910 census found the family living on Main Street, in a home that Margaret’s parents owned free and clear (no mortgage).
Margaret never married and worked as a schoolteacher in the Woodstock for many years. When she died, she was listed as a retired teacher. She is buried in Massanutten Cemetery.

Mrs. Dellinger was born in Woodstock to Mark W. Magruder (1868-1921) and Lelia (Riddleberger) Magruder (1867-1939).
She taught school for more than 30 years in Washington, D.C., Edinburg and Woodstock until her retirement.
Her husband was Paul Dellinger (1900-1970). They had a son together, Paul M. Dellinger, Jr. After her husband died, Olive moved to Wytheville and stayed there for the rest of her life.
She is buried in Massanutten Cemetery in Woodstock.

Riddleberger, Harrison Holt
Portrait of H.H. Riddleberger, who owned a local newspaper and became a prominent political player in Shenandoah County. He went on to become a U.S. Senator before he died in about 1889 or 1890. He was heavily involved in the 1880's Virginia debt arguments regarding the "Funders" vs. the "Re-adjusters".
