Jim Strosnider in a fitness pose. Jim was the son of James Arthur and Virgie Alice (Shillingburg) Strosnider, Sr. A graduate of Strasburg High School, Jim served in the U.S. Navy where he was a champion weightlifter in the 1944-1945 season. Upon his return to the area, he became the weightlifting champion of Virginia for 1946, 1947, and 1948.
