Both families were from Fort Valley. They married in Woodstock on April 20, 1938, when Paul was working for a steamship company and Evelyn was just 16 years old. Charles Edward Plauger was born on November 23, 1942. He finished high school and married Gloria Jean Richards a few years later, in 1964. At that time, he was working at the Safeway Store in Woodstock. Both he and his bride lived in the Seven Fountains area of Fort Valley. They divorced twenty-five years later when Charles was living in Bunker Hill, West Virginia. In 1990, Charles married again, this time to Karen Lee (Potts) Titus, who was ten years younger and had also been married before. The couple stayed in Bunker Hill until his death. Volunteers from the historical society worked over the next several decades to house, number, and scan each image. This effort resulted in over two tons of Morrison plates and negatives being processed and digitized. This collection contains those digitized versions of these photographs.
