Olivia was also an accomplished artist, active girl scout leader, and member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Her and her family lived in Edinburg. Campbell became a clerk at the post office in Woodstock. A Shenandoah Valley-Herald report on her hiring noted she had a high score of over 96 on the Civil Service examination needed to secure that position. According to Postmaster Charles Sheetz, she was the first female employee of that office. A native of Edinburg Virginia, Dorothy was 27 years old and had formerly worked at the Edinburg Aileen Plant.
