Cliff was born in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, to Leroy F. and Clare A. (Dunbar) Fuller. His father was a painter born in Belchertown, Massachusetts. His mother was born in Athol, Massachusetts. He married Laura May Artz (1907-1993) in July 1925. She was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Frank and May (Stiles) Artz. The couple lived in Massachusetts early in their marriage and their first son, Clifford L. Fuller, Jr., was born there about 1927. Shortly after, the 1930 census found the family in the Davis District of Shenandoah County where Cliff was a salesman at an oil station. Their second son, Robert, was born about 1935 in Virginia. In the 1940 and 1950 censuses, they lived in Toms Brook and Clifford was a Virginia State Police Officer. Cliff’s last residence was in Florida. He is buried in Toms Brook. Cliff was born in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, to Leroy F. and Clare A. (Dunbar) Fuller. His father was a painter born in Belchertown, Massachusetts. His mother was born in Athol, Massachusetts. He married Laura May Artz (1907-1993) in July 1925. She was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Frank and May (Stiles) Artz. The couple lived in Massachusetts early in their marriage and their first son, Clifford L. Fuller, Jr., was born there about 1927. Shortly after, the 1930 census found the family in the Davis District of Shenandoah County where Cliff was a salesman at an oil station. Their second son, Robert, was born about 1935 in Virginia. In the 1940 and 1950 censuses, they lived in Toms Brook and Clifford was a Virginia State Police Officer. Cliff’s last residence was in Florida. He is buried in Toms Brook. Court Street in Woodstock after several years of working in the area as a travelling photographer. Between that time, and the time his grandson James Morrison closed the studio in 1988, the Morrison family captured thousands of portraits, landscapes, and buildings on film and glass negatives. In 1999 the Shenandoah County Historical Society acquired over 31,000 of these negatives from the estate of local collector Charles D. Bauserman. Volunteers from the historical society worked over the next several decades to house, number, and scan each image. This effort resulted in over two tons of Morrison plates and negatives being processed and digitized. This collection contains those digitized versions of these photographs. Through a partnership between the historical society and the Shenandoah County Library's Truban Archives access to a growing number of these images is available to the public. Current projections indicate the full collection will be available for viewing sometime in 2028. This collection does contain some images of a sexual and/or graphic nature that some viewers may find inappropriate.
