Her new husband was an engineer who was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves and an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the Merchant Marine Academy (his alma mater) on Long Island. They eventually moved to Falls Church, VA where they raised their two daughters. Beverly worked most of her life as a librarian at the Mary Riley Styles Public Library in Falls Church, VA. Beverly and Andy moved in 2009 to Birmingham, Alabama, to be closer to grandchildren. She is buried in Edinburg, Virginia.
