They had three children together: Audrey Rebecca Ann, Walter Nathanial Dow, and Laura Elizabeth Lee Perkins. The family lived for many years in Albemarle County, Virginia. Both are wearing overalls. They were the children of Clyde Maynard (1906-1968) and Isabel (Clem) (1906-1988) Ritenour. They grew up in Fort Valley. Charles Adam was a 1959 graduate of Strasburg High School and worked at Avtex Incorporated in Front Royal until the plant closed. Later, he worked as an electronic technician for the Boeing Corporation. He married Roberta (Miller) Ritenour and together, the couple stayed in Fort Valley and raised two children: Lisa Ann and Charles Adam, Jr. Ritenour. Clyde Wayne finished high school and married Pauline Ann Proctor in 1961. They had a son, Shane Lee Ritenour. In 1981, they divorced. Clyde’s second marriage was to Linda Ann (Foley) Dellinger. It was a second marriage for both of them. They lived in Woodstock and Edinburg for periods of time before moving to Florida sometime after 2010. Clyde’s home was in Port Richey, Florida, at the time of his death. Frank was born near Conicville and married Rose Frances Wetzel in 1924. In 1942, Frank registered for the WWII draft. At that time, he lived in Washington D.C. and worked for the War Department. His family stayed in Edinburg during that time. After the war, he was a teacher in Shenandoah County for many years and then a farmer later in his life. Clyde and Arlene grew up in the Edinburg area. Clyde spent many years in Falls Church and was living in Front Royal when he died. He is buried in Strasburg. Arlene’s first husband, named Cook, died. She married again in 1976 while living in Page County. Her second husband, Amos Lee Ramey, was born in Luray to Edgar Vernon and Gertie May (Kendrick). Ramey. Both Frank and his wife, Rose are buried in Conicville. Court Street in Woodstock after several years of working in the area as a travelling photographer. Between that time, and the time his grandson James Morrison closed the studio in 1988, the Morrison family captured thousands of portraits, landscapes, and buildings on film and glass negatives. In 1999 the Shenandoah County Historical Society acquired over 31,000 of these negatives from the estate of local collector Charles D. Bauserman. Volunteers from the historical society worked over the next several decades to house, number, and scan each image. This effort resulted in over two tons of Morrison plates and negatives being processed and digitized. This collection contains those digitized versions of these photographs. Through a partnership between the historical society and the Shenandoah County Library's Truban Archives access to a growing number of these images is available to the public. Current projections indicate the full collection will be available for viewing sometime in 2028. This collection does contain some images of a sexual and/or graphic nature that some viewers may find inappropriate.
