After he died, she married again to Coolidge Monroe Marshall Fitzwater (1923-2011). William D. Golladay served as a Private First Class in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was with the 46th Infantry Battalion and 5th Armored Division when he died from wounds received in combat near the Rhine River in Germany. He is buried in the American Cemetery in the Netherlands.
