Charlotte was born in Strasburg, the daughter of Brooks Thomas and Thelma Marie (Polk) Mumaw of Middletown, Frederick County. She married Milton Roy McInturff, Jr., the son of Milton Roy and Clara Lee (Sine) McInturff, in 1943. Milton was in the U.S. Navy at the time. The marriage did not last and a divorce was granted in 1948. Her second husband was Jack Miller Kline (1923-1968), a veteran of WWII and the owner of Kline’s Garage, where he was a mechanic. His parents were William Russell and Maude Margaret (Miller) Kline. Charlotte worked as a weaver in the silk mill when the couple married. They both lived in Strasburg. After Jack Kline died, Charlotte married again in 1979. Her third husband was Robert William Porsche (1912-1996), born in Massachusetts. He had lost his first wife in a fire the year before. Court Street in Woodstock after several years of working in the area as a travelling photographer. Between that time, and the time his grandson James Morrison closed the studio in 1988, the Morrison family captured thousands of portraits, landscapes, and buildings on film and glass negatives. In 1999 the Shenandoah County Historical Society acquired over 31,000 of these negatives from the estate of local collector Charles D. Bauserman. Volunteers from the historical society worked over the next several decades to house, number, and scan each image. This effort resulted in over two tons of Morrison plates and negatives being processed and digitized. This collection contains those digitized versions of these photographs. Through a partnership between the historical society and the Shenandoah County Library's Truban Archives access to a growing number of these images is available to the public. Current projections indicate the full collection will be available for viewing sometime in 2028. This collection does contain some images of a sexual and/or graphic nature that some viewers may find inappropriate.
