Their father farmed. Margarette left home and worked as a sales clerk in a Washington D.C. department store. In 1950, she married Glen Clifton Shelton (1927-1985), an army man stationed at Ft. Belvoir. The couple’s son, Glen William Shelton, was born in 1952, in California. Eventually, the family moved back to Shenandoah County where they owned and operated a bowling alley at the time of Glen C.’s death. Barbara Ruth still lived with her family in the 1950 census. Five years later, she married Edwin Leroy Litten (1932-2000). He had served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean conflict. The couple raised their family and lived in Quicksburg. Allen Eugene served 23 years in the U.S. Air Force. During that time, he had assignments in Japan and Spain. In 1955, he married Cuba Spiggle and they spent 66 years together before he died. They had 3 children, Ricky, Terry, and Lynn. After his military service, he managed the Massanutten Lanes bowling center; attended Lord Fairfax Community College and earned an associate's degree; then worked for Ohio Medical as a technician on anesthesia equipment. Both he and his wife were actively involved in the Orlando community, and were married 50 years before he died. The couple had four children – Susan, Thomas, Richard, and Margaret. Known as Clarke, he was from Strasburg, the son of Charles Marion (1885-1952) and Hattie Belle (Stickley) (1884-1957) Crabill. When he registered for the WWII draft, he lived with his parents on and worked at Vaughan's Drugstore on E. King Street. He served in the U.S. Navy during the war (1943-1946) and by 1950, he was back in Strasburg, still single and working as a carpenter's helper in a construction business. He married Edna Sibert and went on to work as a salesman for the chemical industry. He died young, only 48 years old, of pancreatic cancer. He served in the U.S. Navy during the war (1943-1946) and by 1950, he was back in Strasburg, still single and working as a carpenter's helper in a construction business. He married Edna Sibert and went on to work as a salesman for the chemical industry. He died young, only 48 years old, of pancreatic cancer. Cliff was born in Orange, Franklin County, Massachusetts, to Leroy F. and Clare A. (Dunbar) Fuller. His father was a painter born in Belchertown, Massachusetts. His mother was born in Athol, Massachusetts. He married Laura May Artz (1907-1993) in July 1925. She was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to Frank and May (Stiles) Artz. The couple lived in Massachusetts early in their marriage and their first son, Clifford L. Fuller, Jr., was born there about 1927. Shortly after, the 1930 census found the family in the Davis District of Shenandoah County where Cliff was a salesman at an oil station. Their second son, Robert, was born about 1935 in Virginia. In the 1940 and 1950 censuses, they lived in Toms Brook and Clifford was a Virginia State Police Officer. Cliff’s last residence was in Florida. He is buried in Toms Brook. Between that time, and the time his grandson James Morrison closed the studio in 1988, the Morrison family captured thousands of portraits, landscapes, and buildings on film and glass negatives. In 1999 the Shenandoah County Historical Society acquired over 31,000 of these negatives from the estate of local collector Charles D. Bauserman. Volunteers from the historical society worked over the next several decades to house, number, and scan each image. This effort resulted in over two tons of Morrison plates and negatives being processed and digitized. This collection contains those digitized versions of these photographs. Through a partnership between the historical society and the Shenandoah County Library's Truban Archives access to a growing number of these images is available to the public. Current projections indicate the full collection will be available for viewing sometime in 2028.
