Lived in Luray, Virginia.
Previously a runaway who was caught and returned to owner in Caroline County. Was described in The Shenandoah Herald as being light complected, 5'6", having a scar on left leg from ax. The owner offered a $50 reward if found out of state and a $20 reward if Ben was found and taken in Shenandoah or Culpeper counties.
