Clayton was a teacher at Massanutten Academy when J. Silor Garrison was the Headmaster there. He taught Ancient Languages and History.
This appears to be a reproduction of an earlier image also created by Morrison Studios.
The same image was used to make the 1902 photograph of faculty members of Massanutten Academy that appears in the book, "History of the Reformed Church of Virginia" by Rev. J. Silas Garrison, 1948.
