Description
Portrait of John P. Artz as a young man. Born in Woodstock, he was the son of James Mayberry and Lettie Schaeffer Artz. He married Anna Rebecca Cayton (1913-1999) originally from Luray. The couple lived in Strasburg and had a son, James S. and a daughter, Sue Grimes. John and his wife are buried in Riverview Cemetery in Strasburg.
