This photograph was made for the 1925 Strasburg High School yearbook. The yearbook staff wrote this about "Chip":

"Chip is the smallest boy of our class. Though small in stature, he is large in thoughts. He is hard pressed to pay tribute to the attentions of the fairer sex. He is known as the "Stacomb Sheik" of the Senior Class. His dramatic ability is undoubtedly priceless and we feel sure that with his abundant store of knowledge he will be a success at V.M.I."
