Description

Robert Lee Gochenour seated on a bench and wearing a bow tie.

Born in Woodstock, his parents were Calvin and Alice Belle (Windle) Gochenour. He grew up in the Fairview area, west of Woodstock.

He married Isabelle Shipe in 1931. At that time, Robert worked as a meatcutter.

When he died, Robert and Isabelle lived in Annuille, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. His occupation is listed as "maintenance" on his death certificate.

Contributor

Identified in 2011 by Judy Reynolds, a great niece of Robert Lee Gochenour. She added he was her grandmother's brother and the family had a copy of this photograph at home.
