Portrait photograph of John Calvin Reynolds of Maurertown, wearing a U.S. Army uniform and looking off to the side.

He was the son of Joseph Clinton and Florence Mae (Gochenour) Reynolds.

John Calvin Reynolds was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. He was awarded the Purple Heart with an Oak Leaf Cluster and the Bronze Star.

After his service, he returned to Shenandoah County where he was a farmer and member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.

In 1947, he married Jaunita (Quesenberry) Reynolds in Blacksburg, Virginia. The couple raised three children: Joseph Michael Reynolds, Ronald Richard Reynolds and Judy Fay Reynolds.

The name, "Jno C. Renolds", is written on the glass plate.

Identified in 2011 by Judy Reynolds, the daughter of John Calvin Reynolds. The family had the same photograph at home.
