St. Davids Lutheran Church

St. Davids Lutheran Church-Fort Valley

In 1816 the Lutheran residents of Fort Valley formed their own independent congregation. Fifty seven years later they built this building and named it St. Davids Church.

Today the structure is a private residence while the Lutherans meet at Faith Lutheran Church.

Many of the names associated with this church's early years are still in Fort Valley. Members came from the McClanahan, Fravel, Golladay, Munch, Lichliter, Bushong, and Ritenour families among others.
