In his will, Christian Hoffman gave his daughter Barbara first choice of his three enslaved women (Betsy, Ann, and Cate). His son, Andrew, would get second choice of the two remaining women.
Will proven June 13, 1825; Will Book N, p. 223
"Christian Huffman" enslaved six people in 1820: two men and four women.
In 1860 census, Andrew's widow, Rebecca, enslaved a 102-year-old person.
