The teacher, Ernest Miller was the son of George L. Miller and Carrie (Guess). He was born near Woodstock in 1898 and died in Harrisonburg in 1984. He was married in 1923 to Clemence Gertrude Doll who proceded him in death in 1967. After teaching for many years in Shenandoah County, he became a minister and moved from Virginia to Maryland and West Virginia. He was married more than once.
