Jane was the daughter of Richard Arthur and Flora Minette (Pirkey) Campbell. She grew up in Strasburg.
Jane married Franklin Richard Hoover in 1944. He was the son of Charles Monroe and Mary Bell (Richard) Hoover. At the time of their marriage, Jane worked as a retail clerk and her husband, 13 years older, was a Drugstore clerk.
After her husband died, she married again in 1957 to Cluster Rippley Fry, also from Strasburg. He was a son of James Milton and Naomi Minnie (Painter) Fry, and a widowed mechanic when they married.
She lived in Stephens City when she died and her death certificate mentioned she worked in a slaughterhouse.
