Letter:
Dear Mother,
How do you like this new stationary? I think it’s pretty neat. I haven’t gotten the boxes yet but I’ll probably get them soon. I don’t know what held my letters up but don’t worry we will be here for a while yet I think.
Say do you feel those chicken’s breasts to see if they’re good where you work? Ha. If you see Meg Beard [? Bird] again soon tell her I still think she should have waited for me. Ha.
Tell Dad I got the statements ok and everything is ok. I am feeling fine and not having such a bad time now with the new show and all. You should hear Eddie Master and I do Lumb & Abner (I’m Abner.) Say did Erma get the letter I sent to her yet? Tell her she had better answer. Tell everyone around there I said Hello and to keep smiling. I’ll try and write to some of the folks soon so give every one my regards. Till I hear from you,
Love , Joe
