Biographical Text

Jailed in Woodstock, Virginia, as a captured runaway. Jenny was formerly enslaved by Mr. Johnson of Greenbrier. In a runaway notice published in the Woodstock Herald, Jenny is described as being five feet tall, bright, and of mixed ancestry.
