Lived in Pine Forge. On September 9, 1839, Bentrand was on trial for allegedly murdering Solomon (EnslavedPerson:18373), who was enslaved by George M. and Joel Pennybacker, on August 25, 1839, at Pine Forge. Bentrand was found guilty and was sentenced to thirty-nine lashes.
