Biographical Text
On December 12, 1798, Zack was on trial for allegedly killing his enslaver; he claimed his innocence. Finding him guilty, the court sentenced Zack to be executed by hanging the following January (1799). The court valued him at $257. Zack was hanged on September 24, 1799.
