Description of Rinkerton, Va.

Rinkerton is situated 1 /4 miles West of Mt. Jackson on the Orkney Springs and Howardlick tunpike.
The place consists of one Store one Shoe maker Shop on Black Smith shop one Flouring Mill one Saw mill one chopping mill. Also one fine brick house in which Col. Rinker lives. ? just across the road stands a house called the Hickle house, in this house Mr. William Rinker Stays.
Just back of the store room is a little house in which Mr. Wenck and his daughter lives. Just across the road from the Flouring Mill stand a Phosphate horse and stable. Mr. J.F. Crider lives on the suburbs of the City. There is some other buildings to numerous to mention.
