1. When did you leave New River? March 8th
2. Could you get off the train? Only to drill and in Los Angeles to eat.
3. What did you do with those cards and pens. I still have them.
4. Have you gotten the box yet? Yes
5. Did you get the money out of all 3 pockets? Yes. Gee, thanks a million.
6. Did you send the card to Aunt Maud & Jeanne? Am sending them tonight if I can find them.
7. Have you been away from camp yet? Only to the ocean side 12 miles away.
8. Does Stine bunk next to you? Yes
9. Have you been to church there yet? No
10. What about the girl in N.C.? She is a sweet kid. Nothing serious.
11. Have you been out on the ocean yet? Went swimming Sun. that’s all. Ha
12. Did you find your billfold? No
13. Did you lose it or someone steal it? Lost it I suppose.
14. Could you send one of those cards to Genevieve? Sent
15. What are those people’s names in Kinston, the ones you stayed all night and ate with? Their addresses too please. [ ] H. Butner, 309 E King St., Kinston, NC
16. Have you seen any orange groves yet? Lots while coming out.
