Letter:
Dear Mother & all,
Well here it is again 20 more fellows are going on furlough this time and I should be on the next list but after they come back it will be about 14 days before anyone else goes home because of maneuvers. So it will probably be around the 18th [15th?] of next mo. before I can come home, if I’m on the next list. But it will be in the next two mos., sure. Yes I have heard from Margaret and still write her (me like heaps.) Tell dad we will get to hunt rabbits when I get home. Probably, I guess squirrel season is over today. I got two shots in the arm today same as in boot camp and my arms are getting sore. I have to write Margie yet and I can hardly wiggle the pen now, so I’ll sign off.
Love,
Joe
