At the age of eighty, Gertrude Blair purchased a historic log house near Pugh’s Run and remodeled it to serve as her home.
A retired teacher and “home economist,” she graduated from Miami University in Ohio and worked as a writer, advertising executive, and author of numerous cookbooks before retiring to Shenandoah County.
