Biographical Text

Lived in New Hope, Virginia (in Augusta County). George ran away in 1837. A notice about him was published in the Woodstock Sentinel, and it described him as standing five feet and ten inches tall, being slender, having a "brisk walk and straight carriage," and having a stutter.

Isaac was married to a free woman who lived in New Hope.
