Biographical Text

Lived in Moore's Store and in Mt. Jackson.

In an article printed in a Shenandoah Valley newspaper, Wesley was called "Uncle Rankin," and he reported he served in the Confederate Army as a teamster. After the war, he moved to Mt. Jackson.
Wesley was married twice. First, to Emily Bullet. His second wife was Fannie Luby, whom he was married to for 48 years.
