Clarence Hottle Larkin, nicknamed "Jimmy", was born in Columbia Furnace to Green Berry Larkin and Rebecca Frances (Hottle) Larkin.

His death certificate noted he and his wife lived in Columbia Furnace where he was a postmaster.

He had a younger brother named Robert Larkin.
