Description
Third schoolhouse used in Calvary, west of Woodstock.
It was built in 1911 near the intersection of Route 42 and Route 605, at a cost of $5,000.
It closed in 1943.
The building burned to the ground in 1944.
When area residents sifted through the rubble after the fire, the school bell, which had never been removed from the belfry, was never found.
