Portrait photograph of Frederick A. “Freddie” Frye, Sr., a well-known Woodstock resident.
During the Second World War he served in the US Navy as a Seabee.
He is remembered as having been the co-owner and manager of the Ideal Food Market located on Main Street, later the Woodstock IGA Grocery Store, from the 1950s through the 1980s.
He was married to Louise Richman Frye, a charter member of the Woodstock Lions Club, and a member of Emanual Lutheran Church in Woodstock.
