Description
Photograph of the J.L. Boyer & Company warehouse building built in 1911 west of the railroad on Locust Street in Woodstock. The grocery business closed about 1950. This building was subsequently purchased by Mr. Shaffer, a local huckster, who collected and processed eggs here for delivery to the DC area. As the egg delivery business waned, Mr. Shaffer's son, George, converted the business to one focused on catering and moved to another location. As of 2022, the building is privately owned.
