Carroll E. Estep was the son of Thomas Estep and Laura Algier. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in both the African and European Theatres of World War II. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, and was a past member of the Shenandoah American Legion Post #77. He was a former employee of Avtex, Inc. of Front Royal.
He married Janet Marie Kronk in August 1945, just after the war. The couple were married for over 64 years when Carroll died. Together the couple had two sons, Randy and Phil. The family lived in Strasburg for many years. Carroll and Janet (Kronk) Estep were buried in Waterlick, at the Panorama Gardens Cemetery, in Warren County.
