Walter Paige was my husband's grandfather. Walter Paige was born in Tunbridge Wells England. Attached is his obituary. He came to the Fort Valley with a hiking group from the Washington DC area in the 1920s. He bought property and a house in the Fort Valley in 1923 and married Bessie Ritenour (a Fort Valley native) in 1924.
Walter's daughter Winona (Paige) Lawrence is my husband's mother. My husband is Alfred M. Lawrence III
