He was the son of Ira Vernon Jordan, Sr. and Dottie Lorraine (Litten) Jordan.
He had four brothers, Herbert, Dewey, Ira Jr., and Alan "Pelgie" Jordan, and a sister, Charlotte (Jordan) Hulvey.
When he died, he was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall at Edinburg
