Photograph of the Mark Bird House, commonly called the "Birds Nest Inn," in Woodstock Virginia.
It was originally owned by Mark Bird, a County Judge during the 19th century. After his death it was used alternatively as a residence, a school, and an apartment building.
The house was located on Muhlenberg Street. Later it was moved on an adjacent lot along Commerce Street to accommodate the new Woodstock Post Office.
There are two unidentified women and one unidentified man standing on the porch and steps of the building.
