This photograph was used for a 1916 printed school souvenir for the Williamson School in Lee District Shenandoah County of which Mark Getz was the teacher.
Mark was from Getz, Virginia, near Forestville. His father was the postmaster and owned a store there.
He married Hattie Virginia (Branner) Getz (1891-1978) in 1916.
He moved to Edinburg and was first a school teacher and then a mail carrier.
