Description
Carroll E. Estep was the son of Thomas Estep and Laura Algier. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in both the African and European Theatres of World War II. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, and was a past member of the Shenandoah American Legion Post #77. He was a former employee of Avtex, Inc. of Front Royal.
He married Janet Marie Kronk in August 1945, just after the war, and enjoyed 65 years of marriage before he died. Together the couple had two sons, Randy and Phil. The family lived in Strasburg for many years. Mr. Estep was buried in Waterlick, at the Panorama Gardens Cemetery, in Warren County.

Pat Clem identified this person as Philip Estep, Sr., however, he was not born until the 1950's. This was his father.
Additional ID made by Carroll Estep of the Strasburg Service Station who remembered the man and that he lived on Virginia Street in Strasburg.
