His parents were Richard Sloan Wright, Sr. and Mary Huffman (Zea) Wright. His father was a Postmaster. He grew up in Strasburg.
Richard became an attorney and married Mary E. Lambert. She was from Edinburg, the daughter of George Henry and Beulah Irene (Hoover) Lambert. When they married in 1945, she was a secretary in a law office and he was a trial lawyer.
The couple lived on the corner of Queen and South Fort Streets for many years.
The name, "____ Wright", is written on the glass plate.
