The machine separated apples by size.

The plant was located near the intersection of what became Main Street and Reservoir Road and still stands in 2025.

Likely an apple grading machine used at Grabill's Grading House south of Woodstock. The same building that Shafer's BBQ & Catering was located in. Apples of certain sizes would either ride across the rollers or fall through...separated by size.
