Photograph of an ornate marriage certificate with damage visible to its upper right corner.
A transcription of the "Certificate of Marrage" follows:
"This certifies that Luther Benjamin Funkhouser of Jerome, Va and Miss Elizabeth Roseanne Funkhouser of Jerome, Va. were united in marriage according to the Ordinance of GOD and the laws of the State of Virginia at ____ Luth. Parsonage on the eleventh day of June in the year of our lord one thousand nine hundred and sixteen."
Witnesses were also listed. They were: S.D. Funkhouser and Bessie G. Miller, J.F. Hansbarger and Hattie R. Funkhouser.
The. officiating minister was Rev. W.L. Darr of Edinburg, Virginia.
