Edward was born on December 10, 1915, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He lived in Linthicum, Maryland, when he joined the military.

The form includes his duty stations (Balitmore, Md., Washington D.C., and "DAVRI"), his dates of service (February 1942 - October 1945), and a description of his service (Storekeeper).

It also notes he was married and had worked in accounting for the Kopper Company in Maryland before enlisting.
