Harvey and Raymond were the sons of Walter Harvey and Martha Jane (Clem) Hoffman. They grew up in Mt. Jackson. Their father was a farm laborer.

G. Harvey Hoffman worked as a farmer at the time of his marriage to Alice (Crabill) Hoffman.

Raymond Grove Hoffman's wife was Anna Belle (Frye) Hoffman (1921-2020).

The name, "Walter Hoffman" was written on the glass plate.
