He served with the 301st Naval Construction Battalion and was stationed in Williamsburg, Virginia.
Freddy was born in Woodstock, Virginia. He was married, living in Woodstock and was operating his own retail food business when he was inducted in the U.S. Navy in October 1943.
Going forward, his preference was to return to his business and get additional training in "Meat Cutting".
