Photograph of the form titled, "Notice of the Separation From U.S. Naval Service" signed by Garland Eugene Barb Jr., in December 1945.

He served Newport RI, Boston, Massachusetts, and aboard the USS Plunkett. He also attended Electrical Arc Acetylene Welding school lasting 8 weeks.

He completed a course in New York having to do with moving projector operation and technology.

David was born in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, on July 5, 1924. He was a student when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April 1942.

His preference was to work as a moving projector operator and technician going forward.

This document lists his medals as: the American Area Medal, the European African (3 stars) medal, and the Victory Medal.
