David was born in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, on July 5, 1924. He was a student when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April 1942.
His preference was to work as a moving projector operator and technician going forward.
This document lists his medals as: the American Area Medal, the European African (3 stars) medal, and the Victory Medal.
