Orndorff, Newton Jasper (1918- )

Description

Photograph of a single page from a Notice of Separation packet for an unnamed "SK2/c" who was born in Zepp, Virgiia, on April 1, 1918.

After comparing this form to others, we believe this was part of Newton Jasper Orndorff's U.S. Navy Separation packet.

Newton entered U.S. Naval service on 23 March 1943.

He served in Williamsburg, Va, with the 104th Naval CB, in Davisville, Rhode Island, with the 65th Naval CB, and at the U.S. Naval Frontier Base in Boston Massachusetts.

Medals listed were: Pacific Theater Ribbon (2 stars), the Good Conduct Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon, and the Victory Medal.

The name, J.L. Kemmerer, Ensign, appears at the bottom of the page, and may be the person who prepared the form.
