Interior view of the Nelson Theater located in Mount Jackson, Virginia.

The theater was built in 1937 by local businessman, Burgess Nelson, and was once the largest in the county. It closed in the 1960s.

Rows of seating are in the foreground and the curtained stage is in the back of the image.

As of 2025, the building is being restored and is due to re-open in mid 2026.
